On Novemeber 5th, 2015, Gree, a mobile social gaming platform giant in Japan has announced a real estate / interior design website called ” LIMIA” that focuses towards “living”, “Interior”, “Things”, “Lifestyle”. At first glance, it looks like Gree is attempting to create a niche social network for users that are looking for ideas to freshen up their homes and attempt to build a community. Back in January, Gree Acquired “Sekaie” which provides an interior renovation service called “Renoko” that provides users a quote and consultation whether they would like to change their living interior and how much it would cost to do so. I am assuming that, Gree has taken this service and flipped it into a social community in an attempt to increase reach and revenue. Gree is looking to make over 10 Billion Yen in revenue by June 2018.
